Pulp & Press

What's that you say? I promised more blog entries back in...September of 2011? You know kids, sometimes life just gets in the way. The shop opening, the client increase (yay!), the holiday season, the impending maternity leave (double yay!)...all have conspired to make me a less than thorough blogger. Well, that and the fact that I'm a mediocre blogger at best to begin with. But enough guilt and promises...today I write to you to announce a super awesome event that Tweedle Press will be participating in at the end of this month!



You may know that Tweedle Press is a founding member of the Chicago Green Wedding Alliance, which started off last year as a small group of vendors who decided to band together to encourage environmentally and socially mindful events. Since then we've grown to a group of over 30 awesome local members, with more interested in joining every day. On Sunday, February 26, we are hosting our first ever green wedding show, "Committed", at the fabulous Greenhouse Loft. Tweedle Press is planning an exciting display table alongside our fellow GWA stationers Spilled Ink Press, and there will be plenty of food, drinks, samples, music, and displays from a ton of other GWA vendors as well (see the website for the full listing of participants).



Tweedle Press has done wedding shows before, but we're particularly excited about this one because not only does it feel like "ours" since we've helped to build the GWA from the ground up, but it's going to be totally amazing to be surrounded by so many of our friends who share our vision and commitment to sustainable events and business practices. We hope it goes well so we can have more events like this in the future, so get your tickets now and come say hi! Hopefully I'll still be vertical at the end of the month, but if my little bundle decides to spring himself early you can count on seeing Ellebe (our shop assistant!) at the table instead.
